•My name is Charity Bean and I am a certified pregnancy, labor, childbirth, postpartum doula and community activist. •I am a certified medical assistant, certified nurse assistant, and now a student RN with Kaskaskia College.•I have been a unit secretary and patient care tech at Memorial Hospital East in the Family Care Birthing Center for 5 years. As well as worked in the medical field for 12 years (primary care, Trauma, Psych, ER and Birthing Center)•When I finish school for RN I will continue to become a NP/Midwife.

Continuing with the introduction of the Doula Report hosts, we have Kyra Betts
I am Kyra. I am the owner and operator of the Divine Flower Child Doula and Birth Services. I am a full spectrum doula, child birth educator, lactation counselor and safe birth advocate. I believe that access to a doula is a human right. I work with birthing people as long and much as they will have me during their reproductive time from pre-pregnancy to postpartum as well as abortion, adoption and infertility. I also specialize in infant care, working to educate parents on safest practices that can save their babies, dispelling generational myths that have lead to Black babies having the highest infant mortality rate. Black Birth deserves Black doulas. I want to empower families to redesign Black family bonds.
